Wood Plastic Composite Decking Floor Production Process

Wood-plastic composite (WPC) decking is a type of decking material made from a mixture of wood fibers or sawdust and plastic. The production process for WPC decking typically involves the following steps:

1.  Mixing: The wood fibers or sawdust and plastic are mixed together in a mixer. The mixture usually contains a combination of polyethylene, polypropylene, or PVC with wood particles or fibers.

2.  Extrusion: The mixed material is then fed into an extruder, where it is melted and formed into a continuous shape. The extruder can be a single-screw or twin-screw machine, depending on the desired product specifications.

3. Cooling: After the extrusion process, the newly formed WPC decking is cooled with water to harden the material.

4.Cutting: Once the material has cooled and hardened, it is cut to the desired length for packaging and shipping.

5. Finishing: After the cutting process, the WPC decking can be finished with a variety of techniques, including sanding, embossing, or brushing. This step is optional and depends on the desired texture and appearance of the final product.
